Important Information Regarding Accounts with 0 Posts

Every few weeks, I purge any accounts without any posts because 99% of them are spam bots who failed to post a link - this means that if you have registered and have never posted before, you are likely to have your account deleted!

A simple way to ensure your account is never purged is to make a post in the forum once you have registered. It would be too much hassle to read through every spam bot name looking for people we know to be legit users - so post when you join!

If you have been effected by these practices, I apologize in advance - Being sure to write a post after joining pretty much guarantees that your account credentials will never be unnecessarily purged.

Now we're using a proper captcha we can keep out bots.

But human spammers are just as big a problem.

I just now deleted 20 or so bots. 30 at about noon. 50+ less than a day before that

No way they are all human, Syn said he will do a custom one when he gets creds for the new home.

I'm Mark01 from gtaforums, I've already came here a few times before but I never realized what Grit really was since now, I think it was a very big mistake from my part cause this project is quite awesome and unique, I hope that in return I'll make something good for it.

Wanted to say hey, I too am from GTAF and I really like the Idea of an open source GTA Style Engine... mainly because I was working on a GTA Styled game and it turned into bollocks rather recently...

Every once in a while the ghost accounts get purged indeed. Now you're immune though =)

Cool to meet you ss4, we are definitely seeking hands in every aspect of development to join us in making this a reality as an easy to pick up engine for open world streaming =)

What kind of links, Harley? Links pertaining to the Grit Game Engine, game development, gaming, 3d modeling, programming? if so or similar, go for it :up:
