Sorry, talk can be a bit slow on these forums... Textures again look amazing, loving how American they look! As for requests... A rocks falling sign? Hard hat area sign? A train crossing sign? What I'd really like is a painted stripes texture, like you would find on a wooden barrier showing warning. Sorry, I would provide a reference but I'm on my iPod!

In a mountainous area, there would be falling rock signs. The US might not have an official sign for it, but that doesn't matter.

Well usually in the United States it's just the yellow diamond sign with just warning text on it

Not digging the generic lines drawn through everything, especially on the street signs. These should really be cleaner than this, leaving other details for the spec map and artists. Dirt and grunge is okay, but it's a bit overkill to have these lines through everything.

I figure ur just playin and joking with George in that last message, yea?

These kinds of things should be procedural I think. I.e. we just need the blank sign and the font. Then it's just an attribute on a grit object giving the text as a string. Signs are good though. Just make sure you keep the original layers.

I don't think so, considering Rockstar abandoned that system in GTA IV going back to finished textures

There was a tool for disabling the sign text effects in SA that boosted its performance dramatically, for what it's worth to the discussion.

However, I do agree that 50 to 100 textures of signs with only textual changes would be a lot more wasteful than a sheet of sign shapes to choose from, and a font to print on them via the game logic.

Yeah, but the federal government has a official metric speedlimit sign design prescribed from the failed attempt to switch over back in the 80s
