I'm finally going to have some time off after today after working 6 months solid, so would like to have a good crack at making a MK1 Fiesta in Max. Could someone kindly set up these blueprints for me as every time I set up blue prints I get so far and then things start to not align!

Hey George, they seem kinda small to use in a 3d app, they will be very blurry.

To make blueprints for image planes, you just crop them to the outer lines of the car. Crop 4 images of it bumper-to-bumper, side-view to side-view, top to bottom, and so on, and they will line up because they are all scaled the same, so cropping them to their borders, cannot result in misalignment.

These particular images may be slightly off from each other, but if they aren't, or if you can find a higher res image with ones that match, the cropping bit will always be true.

Ah I see how small they look now :/. Well I know what you're saying about them all lining up but every time I do it I block most of the car out but when it comes down to the finer details things start to show how they're not quite aligned right throwing the whole model into disarray :/. I have some really good high res blue prints at home I'll try and dig them up and make sure they're 100% correct compared to eachother :).

I've noticed that with a lot of blueprints as well, and sometimes it's a thing with them being hard to "read" and other times the lines and all are way off.

That's where you have to take some artistic license, or look closer at reference - luckily you have one to see up close.

You could do it other way - use Fiesta as base but make it 'your own', like it's done in GTA games. :)

GEORGE! Did you start modelin' your car yet? It's a pretty basic shape! You can do it man. It's got some weird spots, but blueprints only help so much anyhow =)
