I guess it would be good to keep a tree about how tree should be and how they should work in grit. i look forward to expand it more when i'm more inspired but right now we know we need to edit normals, in a way to make them point out of the tree branch. there are different ways to do this, you can do it first when doing your leave branch before copying it over the tree

or you can use this SlideNormalThieft tool to rip off the normals from a reference mesh (blobby-sphere-ish mesh) SlideNormalThieft by SlideLondon studios


The shader is the normal alpha clamped object, without SSS.

tricount is around 2000k for each tree :up:
